3 Important things I learned about Lead Capture Pages
Category:My name is Pat King and I’m still a newbie learning about marketing in my health networking business.
In late 2015, I made a decision to have a website customized to improve my online business presence.
I started to learn the difference between marketing a brand and branding myself. What this meant to me was that I wanted to find new ways to set myself apart.
One of the aspects, I decided to include was “Lead Generation” marketing. I came to learn that I could use Lead Capture pages on popular topics that would have a place for a person visiting to sign up for what was being offered.
In this blog, I’ll share 3 things that were important to think through as I considered having ” Lead Capture Pages”.
1. Why I like it
- People like getting something free. It can be information, a coupon or a rebate .
- It’s a way I could set myself apart by providing valuable information on both nutrition and business.
- When I’m coaching a person starting their business, it’s copy-able. I can show them how to do it too if they choose.
2. What I looked for
- I wanted the “Lead capture ” information to be valuable and include topics that people are interested in.
- I also wanted a system that would include follow up emails to keep a person’s attention without overwhelming. Not everyone makes decisions instantly although it’s fun when they do!
3. What I wanted to avoid
- The types of Lead capture sites that share your information with others. Then you find a bunch of affiliates sending you stuff you don’t want.
- Also, if I get too many emails (like every day), I probably unsubscribe unless its purposeful or very meaningful.
- Lastly I get very irritated if they make it difficult for me to unsubscribe.
This picture shows an example of one of my Lead capture pages. There are several others to choose from along the side of the blog.
Now it’s your turn, please add your insights in the comments so we can learn from each other. Wishing you all the best in your marketing adventure!
